Hey, I just learned my Kickr ‘17 has the clunk as well. Whenever I start a workout I need to start pedaling and immediately stop during the countdown sequence. The trainer kind of “resets” and then I’m free to carry-on. Is there a way to fix this?
Until I got a new trainer, I just thought they all did that. That was just my normal. People would say, ‘Don’t stop during an interval. It’s just so hard to get started again.’ They just meant it was mentally hard but my reality was that it was really, legit, physically hard to get started again. Ha!
Interesting…
A high end trainer could be twice as good, or more, or twice as bad, and even less (or more).
I started on an H2. Recommend it to someone you really don’t necessarily like. It’s LOUD! (The H3 is much quieter)
The current Tacx Neo is awesome. (I’ve had too many friends that were devastated that their Kickr died)
The Tacx Neo Smart Bike is AWESOME!!!
Ride on!!!
I have had the kicker core for a few weeks, for years prior to that I had a power metre and dumb trainer. I get what others have said about smoothing of power, but for me it is a nice change. For years it was almost stressful on the dumb trainer trying to hit the numbers and not going too far above or below. On other platforms it has been nice to know when I am going up a hill !
