Adaptive Training and completing a workout earlier

Windows app here.
I’ll have to test it again tomorrow after I complete todays scheduled WO.

Does this also work if you do the workout a day after it was scheduled?

I have my wo’s scheduled Mo, Wed, Thu as it fits with my schedule but a few times after a big weekend I’ve moved the Monday workout to a Tuesday or even a Friday and AT works fine. I think its only when you slip it into the next week that AT would count it as a missed workout and adapts to its absence.

That’s typically how I would use the function. If I’ve missed a day I would click on the WO in the Windows app and hit Open instead of doing the drag and drop.
From memory, AT does it’s thing afterwards and adapts the plan to suit.

The weird thing is that I did a WO today that was scheduled tomorrow. Once I’d finished, the calendar looked normal and the ride simply shifted to today, showing as complete.

I shut my laptop and tried the Andriod app. Adaptations pending and a suggested 5.5 VO2 session tomorrow after a 5 VO2 today.
That’s not what I remember happening in the past. I’m going to shoot support an email and find out if something has changed.

Edit: Support says drag and drop.

Yep drag and drop or editing the date in the app seems to work fine for me.

A quick follow up on why I thought you didn’t need to drag and drop workouts.

I’ve since tested the Windows app to see if I was losing my mind. It turns out that selecting a workout earlier/later does shift things around automatically in the Windows app, only if you don’t get any adaptaions after the workout.
My bad.

To be totally honest, having the calendar automatically drag and drop a completed workout seems like a better solution than the current setup IMO.
