Having to mirror to my apple tv is such a pain, and then I can’t use the phone for media as easily, and hate having TR just on the phone…

I tried Mirroring yesterday with poor results. By the time I connected my Hammer, Stages PM, Garmin HRM, Earbuds, and the Apple TV connections became unstable and it just didn’t work.

I’m honestly considering building a PC for the TV.

Plus 1 more. Would make it easier switching between TR and other VR apps on Apple TV. As it is I have 2 entirely separate set-ups and have to shunt them around accordingly due to limited space.

Would love to have a native Apple TV app! Would make things a bit easier and more convenient for sure.

+1. As I’m changing my setup around a bit atm TR native on AppleTV would be great!

Everybody trains different of course, but I really like TR on my phone and entertainment on the TV (netflix/youtube). I personally would not want to block the TV with TR.
Also it’s not really necessary to have TR on a big screen, phone shows the information good enough, only downside is the lack of group workouts, but that could be the same with ATV.

I just have a cheap phone case with a garmin mount sticker at the back. For a workout, I just swap my phone case and twist it on my garmin mount. perfect position for TR

One downside of the ATV would be the two device limit. So pick two out of trainer, power meter and heart rate monitor.

Could be overcome using a CABLE or 4iiii HRM - but that’s more expense if you don’t have them already.

I think we all train differently. I seem to be the only person on the forum using an iPad, for example. But having an Apple TV app seems to be table stakes for fitness apps, me thinks.

CABLE doesnt work with TR, at least mine doesnt and TR support says it wasn’t supported. Silly me thinks

I think this just changed with a recent update.

Yeah the most recent release notes say that it “should now work” not as definitive as “will now work” but it’s progress.

This is on the android app at least…

I use TR on my iPad too. Then I run zwift or a movie/series from a streaming service on my apple tv for more entertainment

The latest iOS betas note the same, unsure if it’s in the App Store releases yet though.
