Just bought my eldest (nearly 10yr old) a frog 69 and v pleased with it. But also bought bu youngest (nearly 7 yr old) a Vitus from Wiggle (for UK people) - really impressed. Was £189 for 24inch bike and 95% as good as Frog. Certainly worth a look.
