Black Friday email from Hunt

I’ve heard this as well…the only data I’ve seen oe heard of about this though is from some internet goofball who likes picking fights with people though. I’d be interested if there was any real data to support the hunt wheels are crap aerodynamically thing…

That’s maybe the case. I’m in the UK, and I must admit I find it a bit odd.

I really was in the market for a pair of tubeless tyres - something mid-market, enough to tide me through until summer when I’ll get the Corsa Speeds back out - but really couldn’t find anything that was both discounted and fitted the bill.

To be fair, this year is special, nearly everything bike related that is both good value and decent is sold out.

With regards to Black Friday. I can see the points being made by others in this thread, but tbh I also think its bit odd and find it funny when companies put their own spin on it. Like last year for example, Ikea had discounts of about 10 items, all of them only in black.

Not to say I wouldn’t look out for something on offer if I was in the market for anything!

I find this email to be both distasteful and ironic coming from Hunt. Their origins are as an assembler of parts procured from and manufactured by other producers. I suspect there nothing much has changed. I bet they wouldn’t turn down a discount from their suppliers. If they are getting at an issue of waste, then tell us what they do to reduce their own carbon footprint rather than have a wild swing at both other suppliers who may well need to discount to keep their revenues coming in or those who perhaps have to buy at this time of year to reduce their holiday spending. They have slick marketing that is designed to convince (fool) buyers that they are buying an in-house engineered product. Moody black and white photos etc. As others have said, it’s virtue signalling and another excuse to send out more marketing spam.
