Looking at these myself… do you ever use them for outdoor rides? Can you comment at all on how they do with wind noise?
I sometimes ride with one earbud in and listen to podcasts. The cheap MPows that i have don’t do very well when there is wind.

Jaybird Vista for all scenarios.
I ride with both in. I can’t hear a thing besides my music
Seconding the Jaybird, been using them for group rides on Zwift to call, flawless
Not trying to publicise my YouTube channel (!), but just reviewed this week some earbuds that I’ve really enjoyed on the turbo. I’ve not tried the new group ride feature with them, but I’ve found the mic quality good - even with background noise (you can hear a test in video).
I have AirPods Pros - but find they fall out when I sweat a lot - these don’t and sound better. Don’t have active noise cancellation - but passive noise isolation is good enough for the turbo.
Any questions please feel free to ask!
Thanks. Do you think they provide enough wind noise isolation to listen to a podcast?
I’d have to try it to be 100% but I’m fairly certain they will. They plug the ear pretty well with the rubber part of the ear bud
Thanks for the quick reply. I’m trying to decide if they are worth the money over the cheap mpows that I have now.
Sound quality on mpow isn’t bad but having the ability to just use one bus when outside would be nice and being able to listen to a podcast. Part of me thinks wind noise could partially be addressed with a better plug. The Mpows that I have have the over the ear plug and stick out quite a bit which I would imagine creates some extra turbulence and noise
I can confirm the jaybirds are great for noise cancelling. Podcasts aren’t an issue even with 3 fans going.
I have the Tarah Pros and I’m very happy with them. I use them for training and also work. I’m on the phone all day long so prefer the tethered type. I can clip them to my collar and not worry about losing them when taking them on and off.
did they accept them back after two weeks of use?
Bose SoundSport. The best sound, fit and sweat proof.
Give them a try!
Another vote for Bose, I sweat a LOT however I can’t yet wreck my Bose earphones…
I am sorry, but sound quality has never been synonymous with Bose. Quite the opposite in fact. Just like Apple, you pay more for less. I really dislike being negative, but Bose is a trigger for me. I won’t say anything more about it.
These seem brilliant value. Hmmmm.
Perhaps, check your ears? Trim the ear hair! Ha. To each his own. I swear by them. What’s your preference?
If you have something better I’m all ears. Not brand loyal.
My wife makes sure I’m ear hair free. I have not tried them all but I do really enjoy the Jaybird Vista. Sound quality is good, especially after you personalize the EQ. They are incredibly light and secure in my ears. Battery life is excellent as well.
Look for something with an IPX 7, IPX 6, or IP57 rating. At IPX 7 the item can be submerged in 3ft of water.

Keep a look out on Amazon - they were just reduced by £40 in the UK - but notice they’ve just gone back up to RRP …
Hah! £99 when I put this on my wish list. £139.00 now. I need to buy a rear rack for my tourer first. They have very good audio reviews.
I’ve gone through 3 pairs of Jaybirds in the past 3 years. I love the fit and sound quality, however, the second pair (x4) were an upgrade and warranty pair for my first x3’s that one day (about a year after purchase) just decided to not turn on. When connected to the charger it showed green but the power button wouldn’t work. Second pair same story, a year plus a few days after receiving them wouldn’t power on but they replaced with another warranty pair. This last pair lasted the same amount of time and they wouldn’t replace them due to being a warranty pair and over a year. I’m a pretty heavy sweater but tried to dry off the cords after every use. 99% trainer rides with a fan as well.
Long story short, love the sound and fit from jaybird but haven’t had a pair last more than a year.
