If it is indeed linked to the tariffs, greed has nothing to do with it. The idea that anyone except the American consumer is paying the tariffs is a flat-out falsehood. (disclaimer - I don’t know for a fact if any bike stuff from the EU is subject to increased tariffs).

If it isn’t due to the tariffs, it is just good ol’ supply & demand. Supply is low, demand is high…that translates to higher prices.

That Canyon warranty story just put me off, I’d never heard amazing things about them but that takes the cake. Considering TREK processed my warranty claim for a project one (custom painted) carbon fuel ex frame in 4 days, and delivered said frame in 45 days, I can’t imagine why it’s so difficult to get a shock, unless as someone said they just can’t get it.
