I’ve been riding the pro ones tubeless and really loving them. Only puncture I had when a 3mm twig somehow got stabbed into the sidewall. It sealed well enough to pump air back in and I was fine to finish the rest of the ride. They’ve since lasted me 2 years.
I had this kind of sidewall delaminating on my Conti Four-Seasons as well.
Didn"t take care about and a few months later I had an explosion of that tire and a 10cm cut in the sidewall. Fortunatly I was not fast and could handle this moment.
I gave this tire to the Conti support, no answer at all.
I ride Conti tires for so long now, it was the only incident with their tires and rode a lot of miles.
I’ve had GP4000s do the same thing, no issues.
Used to change the conti rear ultra sport II clincher tyre for a trainer tyre once per week and this happened to me constantly, thought I was doing an abusive use. Checked always the thickness of.the side wall and didn’t seem to me the structure changed or the tyre had weak points.
I ran those thousands of kilometers with that issue
