Sure, saving a custom plan as a template would go along with increased customization, but I think youre also referring to the ability to ‘publish’ customized plans as templates, for other athletes to apply?
If so: I’ve passed that along to the team as well. There would definitely be a lot of moving parts to be able to publish and share templates that others can then also modify, but nonetheless, I’ve communicated this to the team for consideration!
Publishing / sharing would be a great feature. But I wouldn’t want someone else to be able to modify my copy of the template / plan. Similar to how I cannot modify a TR plan - I can only “subscribe” to a TR plan. Crowd sourced / create plans should work like TR plans:
Someone creates a plan that includes an overview / introduction, similar to what TR plans have today, and a phase (e.g., Base, Build, Specialty)
The person publishes the plan / makes it public, and it would show up in a new training plan area - “Public Plans”. So there would be 3 training plan areas at a high-level: TR Plans; My Plans (ones I’ve created); Public Plans (plans other members have created)
I could add a Public Plan to my calendar, and if I wanted to tweak it, I would tweak it on my calendar and then save it as a new plan. This would be the same as how Workout Creator works: I can modify a TR workout, but when I save it, I’m creating a new workout, not modifying the TR workout for everyone
This is laid out well. If TR wants to keep the plans from getting “diluted” by having the public plans as an option (you’d probably need a rating setup and whatnot to help weed out the good from the bad which could get complicated), just having the ability to save your own plans/tweaked TR plans and have the My Plans + TR Plans setup would be a big step up on its own.
Got it! This makes sense, definitely a lot of moving parts from an organizational standpoint but I’ve added this to the original request as well. Thanks for expanding upon that!
