Red wing blackbirds are our equivalent to thieving magpies! Usually they swoop low over you rarely making contact, but once I heard a thwonk along with feeling some sort of helmet contact. Yeah a blackbird. Another reason to use eyeware.

The same bird attacked me again yesterday, even though my wife jogged down the same street hassle free.
It must have it in for cyclists for some reason? Or maybe my cycling kit is all wrong? It’s hard to keep up with all these strange new roady fashion rules.
