Started a training block, stopped right after dec 5, hurt my back, then got covid, then holidays happened.
Get back to my suito 2 days ago for my first workout of the year and its making this weird noise and resistance won’t go back down…
Still connects to bluetooth though so i decide to get the upgrado app (on android) and update.
I was on 191 i think. Downloads on the phone, and then starts the process of trying to update the trainer.
Stayed at 0% while phone on for 10 minutes before i called it quits, now bluetooth light just blinks fast and phone won’t connect (on top of that weird noise when i plug it in)
Damn sorry to hear you’ve been ill/injured.
Have you tried another Bluetooth device to try and connect to it? I can’t find out whether there’s a way to factory reset the trainer.
The weird noise at start up might just be the magnets moving inside or it does vibrate when it’s searching for a power meter.
I’ve just had a similar problem, essentially the magnet was down in the max resistance position so was nigh on impossible to pedal, and was making a sound very similar to a MRI machine when resistance was adjusted, turned out the magnet screw was seized and full of old grease.
If you open the little hatch on the non drive side of the trainer, you should see the magnets.
Turn the trainer on and off and the magnet should move up and down as part of the turning on process and then it sticks.
Open the elite app and go into level mode, and adjust the levels from 1 to below 16, and back again. If the magnet is stuck at the bottom after this.
- set resistance to 16 and clean any visible grease off the screw above the magnets (very long)
- carefully spray some gt40 on the screw.
3)use something as a lever and use the flywheel as
the fulcrum, whilst doing so change the resistance back to 1 and use the lever to help the magnet back up (don’t force it too much)
4)move between 1 and 16 resistance to help lubricate the screw thread as much as possible. You’ll be able to hear the change and know when it’s sorted.
Made my trainer work again and more smoothly.
Hopefully this helps!

Elite Suito has know power readings up to 20% lower:
I found a 13 w difference between my vectors and the elite suito. Used power match for a while but after some update it kept freezing so now I just use the power meter of the suito for TR. Outdoors feels different anyway.
