I once heard it defined like this, that I thought was really interesting:
In the very late 80s, internet existed, but it was very small and slow, and not always on.
Kids growing up in the mid/late 90s had very slow, very low res, very cordoned internet.
Kids growing up in the early 2000s had good internet at home, but no internet mobile.
Kids in the late 2000s grew up with fast home internet and decent mobile internet.
People born ~2013–> will live their whole lives with fast internet everywhere.
