IMO this is just another software update that went wrong. After all we are talking about Garmin

the cyber thing was a little bit of kidding by me, anyway the silence by Garmin is not new 
Ride synced via Garmin Express. 
Has also shown up in Strava and TR.
Seems to be working now??? all of my runs from Friday and this morning just synced to the connect iphone app… the warnings are all still up on the app but the data has come up

There’s still some stuff down for me. I can’t get my watch to sync but the edge did, a couple of rides at a time. It also took me a couple of goes to enter weight data. Its getting there though 
I went over to Wahoo 1.5 years ago & finally had enough of they’re garbage. Received my Edge 540 this weekend & im still unable to access my Connect account. Will by trying to download Express later & go at it that way but I’d anyone else’s Connect app still showing as “down for maintenance”?
True, they probably just had to find an illegal download site hosting the old fw to role back to. That’s the normal procedure for garmin fw updates…
The alert is still on my connect app but my Fēnix 5 just uploaded a swim (although it did take a bit longer than normal)

My vivoactive 3 watch and edge uploaded/synced their rides quite fast. The watch still hasn’t fully synced however (sleep, he etc)
Run synced, backlog of other rides also appears to have synced, but GC iOS app still shows the “maintenance” warning.

Same, my edge 830 has synced but my V3 music watch hasn’t.
I can log into connect.garmin.com but get an error page.
My app is still showing the “sorry maintenance” message, but is syncing, some functionality just doesn’t work at the moment, unfortunate timing

I expect that this is because you dont want to make public statements while you are being blackmailed, until you are out of their grip.
