I wouldn’t think so. much less technical at least. But potentially hot and windy.
Yeah, it’s about 8-10 degrees higher down there. I did a long ride on Sunday wearing thick layers on purpose. It sucked.
Ok. Race went well. Here’s what makes this race tough.
- Obviously the length.
- The heat!
- There’s a tough climb at round mile 100, with pitches of 17%.
- Sand pits
For me its now confirmed that Ned Ultra is toughest gravel 1d race in Colorado, and perhaps the whole US.
