Handlebar feels too smooth on Canyon bikes

Little late but yea, that bolt is just there to keep that cover on and in place. Just take it finger tight on the replacement. If you’re not aware, the top cap doesn’t really need much oomph when tightening it down either. I wanna say it has a 4nm torque, but really just needs enough to remove all the play in the system. The pinch bolts on the other hand, torque em right! And use carbon paste on the steer tube.

I completely understand what OP is referring to as my Aethos steering system (hb, wheel) turns to the right if there’s nothing holding it centered. I’ve got Di2. I attributed my issue to the way the builder cut the brake hoses (Shimano, very stiff on my bike) and internally routed into the handlebar. It’s like the cables “push” the handlebars to the right. The only time this really bothers me is when I ride no handed. It’s a lot more difficult to control and tends to veer right all the time compared to my other bikes.

I just had a new Endurace delivered the other day and noticed this as well. I was holding on to the saddle while closing the garage and the bars were flopping all over the place and eventually turning round until resting on the frame. My bike is di2 but so is my older bike, but the bars dont turn on that as much. i didnt really think anything of it as it makes no difference to me while riding.
