No offence but in your shoes.

Plenty left for a charity donation AND a bike! :kissing:

@Timrharris,

I love to live a vicarious life, have you chosen a bike yet?

I’m loving the look of the Cervelo Aspero also, I don’t ride any gravel, but the bike draws me in.

I’m still holding it for now. After looking at at every major brand Im still set on the Scott Addict RC line. But instead of getting the pro version I’m going with the 10.

Honestly, at this point, I’d sit on that money until September at this point. I wouldn’t expect any group rides or races until at least August. At that point, you’re only a month away from the September new model release.

If nothing in the 2021 pile of new designs strikes your fancy, you’ve still got the opportunity to save a bundle on 2020 closeouts.

Completely agree on waiting. And I’d advise buying a used bike. There are many great deals on used bikes during the last few months of the year.

Coke, hookers.

Maybe strippers instead of hookers so that they can still do their thing but while keeping with the responsible social distancing guidelines.

Always good to get investing advice on a bike forum!

Thousands of kids out there starving right now due to Covid. Parents / families that are normally on the poverty line and the kids eat probably their only full meal at school. Now there is no school = no food. Consider donating some of your cash to food banks or organisations of your choice that can help.

Not a bad idea in its own right, but in the U.S. at least, the USDA is still funding the school lunch programs (and the meals are being distributed at schools)

I’d add a hundred and go same bike but the SuperSix EVO Hi-Mod Disc Ultegra Di2, but that’s just because that’s what I want. Also, “$%^&ing SRAM!”

I’m such a SRAM fanboy, I’d have to go eTap. That Di2 model is a tempting little hottie though.

Reading this thread gives me hope during these times that dreams come true!

Seriously thought I’m looking at the same two bikes (Addict and SuperSix)— I’m thinking there’s a great set of bike sales coming soon - there’s no way that the major bike companies are making enough sales in that price range.

A new Giant TCR model is just about to go on sale, which means there’ll be plenty of old stock of the previous model.

That’s the one I’d be going for.

Thankfully my school is still doing food service for any kids in the area, even if they don’t attend my school. As well as parents for students.

They’re both such great looking bikes. I’m pretty set on the addict RC 10. It’s got mechanical dura ace and aluminum rims. I was going to replace the wheels anyway so the value is unbeatable for what I want

You’re nearly in C64 territory there…
