I would like to take a hammer to my Cycleops Hammer right now!

Sorry about your experience but couldn’t disagree more. I have a H2 and it works solid. I am able to complete all workouts prescribed in TR and have not had the issue you describe. The issues I have had have been w/zwift. As someone mentioned previously on this thread I find that the erg mode is more responsive for me in TR vs Zwift. But again, I think the main problem is zwift algothrims not the Hammer. Also, have the most recent update to zwift (yes I know this is TR forum) my erg mode does not work and I have basically abandoned using it (like to use together) until they update a fix. Contact hammer support they have always been very responsive.

As for the sprinting issue, I think that if you continue to “soft pedal” even if you can’t keep up with the flywheel speed, it will certainly stop TR from pausing and it may help the flywheel slow down a little quicker as well.

Actually as the flywheel is spinning to fast I cant soft pedal fast enough. Tr is getting no feedback. If I put an external cadense sensor on it might work. I just have to learn to use it. I think it’s my timing as someone else said.

Figured out the sprinting. For some reason I started switching gears again to the big ring. No reason for it. I stay in the same gear and then cut my sprint off 1 or 2 seconds early and that gives enough drag to slow the flywheel down so it doesn’t spin forever. All good.

The early shut down is a great idea. I need to try that.

Not my idea. Read it earlier in this thread. Remembered it last night for the 2 sprints on petit +1. Worked quite well. Just installed a 4iiii’s precision power meter yesterday. Matches the h2 very closely once I remembered to calibrate it(first power meter).
