Looking for cooling fan recommendations

May I hear where exactly do you live (City/Country), to better understand your climate conditions?
I could suggest a radical solution and create a stable cool airflow through the window by installing this fan. The main goal is that you can regulate it depending on the current weather, and the 2nd advantage - it’s very quiet. So if you’re working in the office and your job requires some attention concentration, the noise shouldn’t distract you

I bought an industrial fan from Bunnings here in Australia and it has helped immensely over the budget pedestal fan I had.

Best $80 I have spent to enhance my indoor training. Very powerful. My sweating has reduced significantly.

Has anyone set up a second fan directly in the back, for a tailwind effect?

My current setup has one Lasko blower in front of the front wheel, and a second, tower fan at 45 degree near my face. I’d like to replace that tower with a second blower or Vornado, and I heard on the podcast about the tailwind setup… Any experiences?

I use 3 fans.

  1. Blower: High placement, dead center in front blowing on face and upper chest.
  2. Blower: Mid height, front left side blowing on shoulders and mid chest.
  3. Circular: Mid height, rear left side blowing on lower and mid back. Also has remote panning option and I can circulate air around the room.

So, rear fan can work, you just have to get placement dialed.

what color do you like 99 dollars at home depot. Move a lot of air.

I am one on a tight budget and I don’t spend $$$ easily. I finally got the Stanley version of the Latsco. Just spend the freakin money on one. @mcneese.chad posted somewhere the difference between the Stanley and the regular. Just buy one (or more). Worth every friggin penny. Total game changer on the trainer.

Rather than hyperlinks to products that have been discontinued or broken URLs, can someone post what the part numbers are to the Lasko fans?

I’m not a budget per se but there’s a LOT of fans out there and I don’t want to buy the wrong one.

Yes, works well.

If you have it just the right (wrong) angle, it’ll blow up your shirt which can be really annoying.

I mentioned it on another fan thread but I HIGHLY recommend picking up a Leviton WiFi dimmer plug. in have all my fans (2 laskos and 2 small vornados and a box fan to exhaust out a basement window behind my bike). You can run the whole show from your phone and adjust as you need while riding. not as slick as the wahoo fan, but I love my setup with it.

Masterforce 20" 4600 CFM - Beastmode fan

I also have a smaller industrial fan for easier workouts since this one is a bit on the loud side.

I’ve found that axial fans with metal blades really get a lot of air flow moving.

we just picked up a lasko utility fan from home depot. it’s fantastic and surprisingly quiet for how strong it is

Bro, have you heard of the Lasko Pro Performance Fan? End of thread…

Lol

2 cheap floor fans near the front wheel. In an ideal world I would love a Wahoo Headwind but life isn’t like that.

Just for the record is there any difference between yellow and silver/black Lasko fans? After scouring the Internet the only difference I can find is the price.

As long as you have the same model number, there is no difference.

This is confusing because they have roughly a half-dozen different blower style fans. Some are larger or smaller and may also have a different flow rating. It pays to look at the model number and all specifications to be sure.

What do you guys think about these 2 fans?

One being a radial fan like the lasko and the other one is a super strong axial fan.

  1. Turbo fan TFV 30 - TROTEC

  2. https://de.trotec.com/en/products-services/machines-highperformance/ventilation/axial-fans-of-the-ttv-s-series/ttv-4500-s/

Can your fan be too strong?
