Your reaction to the first few SSB2 v02 workouts is pretty common. You’re doing it right, don’t worry. You’re probably not actually reaching v02 max in the sense that you’re consuming as much oxygen as your body is capable (the whole idea of “v02 max power” is kind of messy), but you’re getting used to the kind of power output at which you will reach it pretty quickly. So depending on how you do you’ll end up somewhere around Spencer+2, which sets you up to spend some real time at v02 max.
