Almost 400 NP for 4,5 hoursā¦
letās be serious; everyone in the peloton won that lottery, some more than others.
And if you back calculate from the following information:
You get an I.F. of 0.93 with an FTP of 425.
Having watched the race, which is on youtube, Iām not sure that heās at racing weight yet. Maybe itās the blue kit, but he does look heavier than last year.
Having said that, it was like he had entered the boys raceā¦ Once he was up the road the others just looked at eachother and couldnāt muster a chase.

Thatās gotta mean the FTP that the NP and TSS were calculated against is too low, right? Thereās no way a person could do 0.93 IF for 4.5 hours, right? ā¦right?
I didnāt watch the race but if it had a lot of high power sprints and then coasting it could have inflated the NP a bit.
This is true. Two short climbs of around 250 meters at around 15% average.
But stillā¦ Impressive
Oh for sure! 385 or 390 is no less impressive than 396! He still took my 4-5 min power and did it for 4+ hours!
He did the last 44k solo. There were no surges here.
