MyVeloFit, Online AI Powered Bike Fit

Honestly I did mine in the garage with all types of craziness behind me. It still gave me a great recommendation.

Yeah; thats what will be fascinating to see how ā€˜Aiā€™ it really isā€¦ie if you choose performance fit as a goal, will it suggest more aggressive bike angles
And if your flexibility is not consistent with that, will there be an over-ride
Seems exciting to see where it goes

Once your equipment was setup, about how long did it take to film all of the required shots? What did you use to edit / crop?

Would be interested in seeing the results of some TT bike fits.

I just submitted my mobility and fit videos and I have my recommendations. I opted for the performance and comfort fit.

There are three recommendations they made : lowering the saddle 5mm, raising the bars 1cm, and reducing the stem 20mm.

I think I might make some small incremental changes before going all in and changing everything drastically : lowering the saddle ~3mm, raising the bars one spacer, and going reducing the stem by 10mm and then re-evaluating.

Here is the video analysis : combined.mp4 - Google Drive

EDIT: Following up after initially starting with lowering my saddle 3mm. I uploaded another video and it again recommended I lower the saddle by 5mm, so I lowered it another 3mm and uploaded another video and it recommended I lower it 5mm and move it back 5mm.

I lowered it another 4mm (1cm from my initial video) and moved it back about 4mm and the recommendation was to lower it 5mm and reduce the reach 10mm.

I feel like Iā€™ve gone down a rabbit hole of changes so I am reverting back to the original and per the recommendation lowering the saddle until that is good.

Yep, same here. Donā€™t really want to buy an adapter to put my 12 speed CX and MTB on the Kickr once.

I wanted to follow up on my previous post and give an update after uploading more videos and making some further adjustments.

Jesse actually sent me an email and offered some advice and feedback which was very helpful and I took his advice and began by focusing on saddle height until that was in the recommended range

I set my bike up how I originally had it for my first upload and then began the new process. I also made smaller changes than recommended throughout the entire process, usually in 3mm increments.

Initial recommendations were to lower the saddle 5mm, raise handlebars 1cm, and reduce reach from the BB by 20mm.

After the software recommending a 5mm drop in the saddle after a couple videos I finally got it within range. Overall I ended up dropping it about 1CM.

Now that I had the saddle height set, it recommended I move the saddle forward 5mm and reduce reach from the bottom bracket by 10mm. However, within this recommendation it said to start with the saddle fore/aft first, re-upload a video and then see if stem length needs to be changed.

I moved the saddle forward 3mm and re-uploaded. After this video I now had saddle height, saddle fore/aft and handlebar height within the recommended ranges and the only thing it recommended was to reduce reach from the BB by 10mm.

I changed my stem from 110mm to 100mm and re-uploaded. The recommendations stayed the same and it said to reduce reach from the BB by 10mm. I donā€™t have a 90mm stem and Iā€™m not sure I want to move to one that short, so I think I will ride in this position for a week or two and see how it feels.

I rode a little over two hours yesterday on the trainer with this position and I can definitely feel the changes with some new aches coming as expected.

Overall, I really enjoyed using the software and seeing the progress/changes. Iā€™ve been dealing with some right side hip pain and Iā€™m hoping this new position can help, and Iā€™m thinking the lower saddle, less reach may help. Below are the videos from my beginning fit and new fit, and a couple of screen shots of the analysis.

Anyone do multiple bikes yet? Or rollers? I am ready to pull the trigger this week on the full version but was curious on these points still.

I have emonda, crux, epic, and a 'muter to tryā€¦putting all on the trainer seems like a pain with various standards.

The camera and bike have to move together so they arenā€™t moving relative to each other. So setup an arm off the rockerplate to attach the camera so the camera moves with the rocker plate. Wonder if that will change the fit

Yeah, depending on how far the camera needs to be positioned from the rider, you might be able to do it.
But I am thinking itā€™s just easier to use a rigid setup for this app, and would use a fixed setup for my testing.

Seems interesting. I used a similar app a few years ago, but half the battle was trying to get the stickers accurately placed on the body. A small change in the sticker location seemed to make significant differences in measured angle.

This one seems easier in that you donā€™t have to put stickers on your body.

I suspect this will serve as a ā€œgetā€™s you closeā€ function in most cases. It may not be able to get down to the millimeter of fine tuning, but making the larger changes for basic fit goals seems very possible.

Honestly, that is what most people need, just to make sure they arenā€™t headed in some bad direction. Iā€™ve seen a number of people who came in after riding a bike for years, just as the shop sent them out with maybe a saddle height adjustment if they were lucky. Some were 20mm or more off for saddle height, with room for improvement on the front end as well.

Iā€™ve switched to some more basic fitting for my customers and aiming to get them the level of comfort and fit with about an hour turn around. That is for typical saddle setup and general bar setup with maybe a stem swap. Anything more than that (like a bar swap, or saddle searching) takes longer.

But itā€™s looking like you can really improve the general experience of many riders with some ā€œminorā€ tweaks that lead to more improvement in comfort and feel than you might expect when looking at the dimension deltas alone. All that is to say that I see this app with lots of potential to do good for a huge range of riders at a very fair price.

Doesnā€™t seem to change my fit from my position last year. Kind of annoying cause while I had no knee pain last year or on the kickr indoors it seems like when outdoors (same bike) I get keep pain just above the kneecap in the front of the joint. Will try again tomorrow

Interesting if someone gets the recommendation to change nothing at all

Anyone done a TT bike fit on it yet?

Well I played with my position a bit before using this app and it has me back to where I was

That seems like a solid result unless you were expecting some drastic change. It would be re-assuring to know that the fit you had prior lines up with the softwareā€™s analysis.

I think the idea of this is to get you as close to optimal as possible without an in-person fit where more minor tweaks come into play.

Typically if you have knee pain your saddle may be too low, try raising it 2-3mm and see if you have relief.

Did you change shoes, cleats (even same model) or pedals?

Those can introduce unintended changes that affect your fit

I did raise it. This fit software had me lower it back to what it was

Same for everything. Had a wrist injury in oct so was off the bike with nothing wearing out

So did you have pain when you raised it?
