Related to this, I think a big part of the NCL failing was lack of amateur races. I’m not driving to go watch a pro race. Not in America at least. I’d visit Europe and go watch a big pro race, but I’m sorry, I’m not traveling to watch a crit in the US. But if I’m racing earlier in the day? Heck yea I’ll stick around and have a beer and watch the pro races. So you now get more people to watch and interact with the pro races, and bring in revenue by putting on amateur races. You don’t need to or probably shouldn’t even try to replicate the points race. Just have some normal amateur races earlier in the day.
