Same here just tried to do this today and doesn’t work at all. I tried de-authorizing and re-authorization nothing. I did submit a ticket.
I just pushed an outdoor workout from TR to my Elemnt. I picked the workout in the iPhone TR app, then seconds later manually triggered a sync on the Elemnt from the workout menu and it showed up.
I have both TR and Training Peaks authorized in the Elemnt app, so I’m not sure which source it pulled it from, but given how little time I let things sync I assume it pulled direct from TR.
Hey there and welcome to the TR community!
I checked out your account and noticed your workouts were set to “Inside” instead of “Outside.”
Workouts need to be set to “Outside” in order for them to be pushed to Wahoo. The button to click on will look like this:
Once set to “Outside,” your workout will sync to Wahoo if it’s scheduled within the next 3 days.
Full instructions on setting up your sync between Wahoo and TR can be found here.
Let me know if you have any additional questions!
Thanks appreciate it, but I started with Outdoors and then tried Indoors, neither worked. This is not the solution…any other ideas?
What model head unit do you have? While it’s been some time since I pushed a workout to my head unit (ROAM V1) as winter is upon us now, I didn’t have any issues pushing sessions this past summer/fall…
Have you tried forcing the head unit to start a sync?
It’s also a Roam V1… yeah, I looked up on the TrainerRoad for him asked a few gearhead buddies of mine. I did all the necessary steps not sure why it’s not pulling these workouts through in the planned workout section.
I assume you’ve also checked you have the latest firmware on the ROAM?
When I am near my head unit later, i’ll give it a try by switching tomorrows WO to outside temporarily to see if it syncs and let you know if I see any difference from what I experienced over the summer.
Yes latest firmware and all. I’ll try again this evening and see if somehow it works.
Quick update…
I added two outside workouts to my TR calendar, one for today and one for tomorrow. I then fired up my ROAM. Within 2 minutes (without forcing a sync) the sync completed and I was prompted by the ROAM that I had a pending workout for today. I then skipped this workout, went to the planned workout screen and verified that the workout I added for tomorrow was also there as well.
After this I shut down the ROAM, I removed the workouts from my TR calendar and fired up the ROAM again. After the auto sync, both those workouts were gone from the ROAM.
TL:DR… the sync between TR and Wahoo seems to be working as expected (for me, at least).
Yes thank you Will. I had a chat with Jordan. I realized that I did not change the workouts on my plan to outside properly. My apologies. The other question or problem that was raised and solved was more of a suggestion that the Roam or heady it be able to function to interact with the trainer and impose resistance as in ERG mode.
Thanks for your help!
JC
No problem at all! Glad you got it sorted in the end!
