Overnight Tubeless Pressure Loss

Thanks for all the great answers! I guess I was a bit annoyed in the first place since I have a pair of DT Swiss GR1600 setup with Pathfinder Pro, which keep pressure crazy good, so only top off a few times a month.

I went to my LBS and they put some new tape on and made sure that the valve sat fine, so installed everything again now and will see in a week or two how it all holds up

If its the same loss after a week or two, ill just accept that its as good as itā€™ll get.

I realised that I forgot to write what tires I used, its a pair of Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H 40mm on a pair of DT Swiss GRC1400.

Iā€™ve got the Quarq TyreWiz digital pressure gauge on the stems of my groad bike. Pump is a Blackburn Air Tower 2 with a Silca chuck.

Havenā€™t measured the loss when attaching, as I forget to look at my Garmin before putting the chuck on.

When detaching I lose 0.2 psi, for example stop pumping at 60.1 psi, wait 5-10 seconds, pull off chuck, and pressure drops to 59.9 psi. Canā€™t believe those silly TyreWiz gauges continue to put a smile on my face.

The Blackburnā€™s tiny floor level gauge is surprisingly accurate.

Currently running Pirelli Cinturato tubeless 35c tires installed late March, topped off sealant after a week and again around May 10th. On May 21st my ride ended at 59.3 psi rear and 58.7 front (thank you axs.sram.com). Didnā€™t ride for 9 days and yesterday they were around 53psi. Surprised at how well they hold air on both my Enve and Bontrager wheels.

Haha funny that you mention those, they are on my wish list of unnecessary things I really really want

I mean, tire pressure is like the most important thing affecting handling, hence why I am so fussy about itā€¦

Have the Quarq TyreWiz worked well with tubeless? Thinking mostly in regard to tubeless sealant and all?

When riding I use one of these to pump the tires. So not a lot of pressure drop in that small hose.

Only on month #3 with TyreWiz and the extended honeymoon is going great. It was never on my list of unnecessary things I want, and now it is.

Haha, everything that can give me more data is on my listā€¦ except for Whoop.

Its actually one of those gadgets that I bought and on the way home was likeā€¦ this is so uselessā€¦

Then I went on my first trip (which I bought it for) and it was a game changer. building the bikes to 15min, and pumping the tyres was 10 seconds of that, to perfect pressure each time.

I would say that for gravel I get like a week of pumping / topping up. Riding about 5-6 days a week.

So I would say 6-8 tyres maybe?

The best thing with it is that it has a good digital gauge, so not only does it take 10s to fill the tyre, you get the correct pressure every time you top off when at home.

I thought I would only use it when travelling but I use it everyday ride home now

Didnā€™t see anyone mention this, maybe its an old tale that isnā€™t true. Iā€™ve heard that if you do the inflating with a C02 youā€™ll get seepage and leakage. I have found this to be 100% correct over my time. If i do the seating with a compressor it will stay
