Progression Levels not making sense

If I choose a workout that more or less matches my outdoor ride and “associate” it with it, will TR account for the outdoor ride? I’ve done this before with a self regulated outdoor workout with 10 min intervals but don’t remember TR asking how hard it was. I’ll try again and see.

When I do any outside rides, I setup a TR outside workout and follow that procedure which works as intended.

I am not the best person to comment on the back-association. I know there are others that are doing steps like this, but am not sure on the actual steps or success rate. Hopefully someone can share their info or a related topic with more info.

Just want to drop a note in here, while we definitely want to foster discussion between athletes about their experience in training with AT and Progression Levels, the forum isnt the best spot to get to the bottom of ‘why’ surrounding your personal Adaptations and Progression levels.
Thats best suited for a support inquiry, as they have the most accurate visibility to the full scope of your workouts, training plan, post-workout surveys, adaptation logic, ride logs, etc.

From the ‘Welcome to the TrainerRoad Forum’ Page:
