Returning from an injury and dealing with progression levels

Gosh, I’m really sorry you’re going through this. It sounds incredibly tough right now .

To directly answer your question: yes, when you’re able and ready to return to training, TrainerRoad will meet you where you are.

Your Progression Levels will reflect your current capabilities, not where you left off. That means you won’t be thrown into workouts that are too intense or misaligned with your current fitness. Instead, your plan will adapt to ensure that you rebuild sustainably, with workouts that match what your body can handle.

Right now, though, the most important thing is your healing. All you can do is support your recovery as best you can. Try not to let cycling become a source of stress. If you’re able to ride and it feels good, let that be enough. If you can’t ride yet, that’s okay too. Your fitness will come back, but only if your body is given the time and space it needs to fully recover :mending_heart:.

Try not to get stuck in the “what ifs” or put pressure on yourself. When you’re ready to train again, TrainerRoad will ensure your return and progress is sustainable and consistent, so that you’re back to where you were in no time :heart_hands:.
