Mont Blanc Triathlon, cresting the final climb

Sorry for the delay! I ended the ride in Ballater, then rode the last leg to Aberdeen for the train home. I rode up through The Peak District and the Lakes. I remember Sean Conway saying you should always take the senic route, not the easy route. Quite a few hills on my route!
I was ending up going up to Glen Shee than past Balmoral. Was going to go the longer way round via Tomintoul (sp) but the weather turned for the worse.
East coast route next time!

I’d say that’s a pretty good route, definitely the most beautiful.

Me launching myself into the bike leg of the Leeds Olympic Tri in June this year. Just behind a guy who couldn’t handle the gradient and immediately fell off upon mounting

Last week end saw a new event in the local calendar.

Town centre Crit and it was all going right up until my race ended with a high tarmac body composition. Least I got to make a new friend, although she didn’t understand why we do it to ourselves.

A few from today’s crit. Eventful to say the least. Several riders hit the deck but I managed to stay rubber side down.

UCI Gran Fondo World Championships
My race was over after crashing at 31km out of 150km, at 47km/h (nearly 30 mph for you metric folk)
Managed to finish in not last place

I didn’t want to wear it again anyway…

A few from today’s RR. Brilliant event hosted by Royal Leamington Spa Cycling Club.

How’d the team do? :1st_place_medal::man_shrugging:

They looked pretty good from where I ended up watching! One of 'em went off the front in the hunt for primes IIRC. :male_detective:

Separated the shoulder yesterday and Cx is the only racing I do, ugh.

Don’t know what I did to make the rider in blue so mad:joy::joy:

Yeah, not well

I was first across the line for the team but I have no idea where I finished… Can’t find the results as yet. Think I was top 15?

They say you need to get back on the horse, so I did.
Two weeks after the last race ended in a trip to hospital I’m back in the saddle. No plans for points, the only win today is mental.

One of several breakaways I was in on Sunday

And the breakaway that actually worked about a mile from the finish here
