Took part in my first cycling event at the weekend, the Gran Fondo Scotland Autumn Classic. Absolutely loved it. Being a bit green I had never heard of the Tak Ma Doon or Crow Road climbs, but I’ll remember them now.

Three cross races over 2 days this past weekend at Best Cross in San Antonio. Fun weekend with some good results, though I’m so ready for cooler temps. Racing again tonight at 8:30 with temps still in the 90’s.

for what it’s worth I was 30 seconds faster this year at 52 than I was at 45. training more and eating less helps…

After a couple of years of not racing or training (sea deployments and a baby), I’ve gotten back into racing. Loving that each race I’m finishing in the front group, podium is not far away now.
Looking forward to the warmer weather and not having to layer up to ride/race.
