Specialized Venge Vs Tarmac

Meant to imply my SuperSix is more aggressive (by that ratio) geometry than even the Venge, so a Tarmac would be even more “comfortable” in that regard.

For sure it contributes. Something I couldn’t quite pinpoint on my Venge was that it just felt uninspiring on 4.5AR and RapidAir 28s. For sure, the setup is not the best in terms of low inertia but it seemed more impactful on the Venge. Throwing my CLX32 tubulars on the Venge woke it up and generally made it much more fun for me to ride. To be honest, with that wheel setup - it’s hard to tell any difference between the bikes in terms of acceleration, climbing etc.
Aesthetically, that wheelset is only acceptable on one of the bike though…

Tim you should call you LBS, some shops don’t keep higher spec bikes in stock. I had a similar experience looking at the Specialized web site, called the shop and they had a Pro Etap Tarmac for me within a week.
