The “anywhere mount” is not fit for purpose. It’s a cheap plastic piece that can’t hold the weight of the stages units. Every time you press a button on the head unit, the whole mount flexes like a spring. I took video footage and linked to it on the product page… and my review was removed.

I got an M50 on the black friday sale, it was at $223CDN down from $320CDN which put it significantly below even the Edge 520 and Bolt, let alone the newer generation of devices. Hoping the 2.1.0 firmware clears up all of the early complaints I saw.
How did you setup this connection? I tried to authorize an outgoing connection to ridewithgps via the Stages Link website but nothing happens when I provide my account details…
Once you set RWGPS as an outgoing souce you go back to the “connections” tab in your account. There will be a button that says “SYnc Courses”. Clicking that will bring all your courses in Stages Link. Then I moved the ones I wanted to “Favorites” and the next sync with the Dash will put them on the Dash. There might be an easier way but that is how I do it.
So since I broke the screen of my current head unit (
) I’m on the market for a new one. Given the original post is 9 month old by now, I wanted to check in what everyone’s experience is with the Stages units since then. Also did you guys do TR workouts outside? And how easy/difficult is it to get those workouts on the head unit? Appreciate any feedback

TrainerRoad outside workouts can only be pushed to Garmin and Wahoo at the present time. Stages would need to work with TR to sync workouts.
Would probably buy one and test it out if I came into a small bit of money. I really like my Edge 530 but could see using both the 530 and Stages on interval days.
