I haven’t got that far at the moment. Working on Android and Iphone versions at the moment.
I’ve thought about watch sync but not very deeply yet
I’ve ran once since Augusta, just trying out some new nike Pegasus 2 turbos (no carbon plate, but has the super foam). Been strictly doing TR, strength 2x a week, and yoga 1x a week. Figure I’ll sign up for a thanksgiving turkey trot 5k and run till I puke to try and figure out where my run fitness and pacing currently stands.
It was just shy of 35minutes so fairly inline with the recommendations of a 30min TT. FWIW I did a Zwift race this morning and averaged 185 for the whole hour and change.
Like you, I really use it as a “how I’m doing” metric so not as important to me as power and pace. Still a point of interest for me esp. the variability between athletes.
@JoeX and @binhopires I’ll write up some T26 thoughts in comparison to the TR swims when I have a few more weeks under the belt
Cheers Joe,
Due to a bit of peer pressure - you can throw me in for barcelona as well (if not already there)
Gary
If you want anyone else to test it in Beta let me know love the look of this
Cheers
Will do
I’m hoping to have the Android Beta ready soon (I’m testing the Alpha at the moment)
Mmm nice. That reminds me, I haven’t coded in a while and it annoys me that I can’t get Watts displayed on my Watch. Maybe a project for winter…
How come no watts on your watch? Which one you have?
Hi everyone, first time Question to the forum. for the 2020 season financial budgeting… using a pretty basic mag trainer at the moment with vector 3 pedals for training. I’m wondering if I’ll get more value out of upgrading to a trainer like the wahoo kikr core or staying with current setup and get a disc rear wheel for the tt bike? Any advice much appreciated everyone…
If it’s functioning well, then I don’t see the benefit outweighing the cost.
Apple Watch, PowerTap P1S pedals.
I have an old cyclops trainer with favero pedals. Embrace the grind. Builds character!
No power on apple watch? I have never had one so curious. Been Garmin person for a long while now. 310xt, 910xt, 935 and now F6X Sapphire.
I snapped the adjuster off my Tacx Boost six weeks ago, so it’s stuck at “10”. makes it interesting…
It’s no biggie now I have a Garmin, but PowerTap don’t do a Watch app. Neither do TR. Strava might have it in their Watch app, but I won’t pay for them to process power data.
It’s more convenient and quieter. I honestly believe my training has not become more effective since I moved to a smart direct drive trainer. If you have the money to spare it is certainly nice to have, but there are plenty of other things that buy more speed.
You can spend $$ elsewhere for sure. Personally I really enjoy erg mode which makes it worth it for me.
I do have a old kickr snap that has been a workhorse that I powermatch with my 4iiii left crank and no complaints. Thought about direct drive but until the snap dies I am sticking with it.
I have no idea what I am doing, but just registered for IRONMAN Finland Kuopio-Tahko.
- I have never done any distance triathlon
- I have never swam more than 1km
- I have ran around 20km this year
Go hard or go home…right? It will be an interesting journey.
When is that race?
