πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ The New TrainerRoad Android App is LIVE! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

I really appreciate all of the hard work on the new app, but I can’t help but feel a bit sad that I no longer have the old logo on my home screen!

How long are Apple likely to have the App β€˜under review’ ?

As somone who used to use the IOS app and now uses the windwos dektop app. Is there anything in the IOS app that is not in the desktop version? I am particulary interested in the new powermatch. Is that already in the desktop app?

I think you have the choice between old and new power match in the desktop app :+1:

Thanks. I was not aware of that. I will check that out later

You can toggle between Powermatch settings in the new mobile apps as well. Either from the device settings view or from devices quick actions submenu from within a ride.

The new App looks really sleek! New powermatch seems to react quite a bit faster than before. Overall super nice upgrade :ok_hand:t2:

Much more responsive. Can’t wait to dig into more of the details. Great work, TR!

I’ll have to figure out how to get TR Android App now its updated to recognise the bluetooth and ant + sensors. Bluetooth says location Settings need to be enabled but it causes an error when I click on 'Open Settings ’ and ant+ is enabled but it just hangs on 'Pairing ’ of the pm now

Edit: The location services on the kindle are easy to find and turn on. I just need to get the Ant + pm to pair now :-/

Edit2: I think I have solved the Ant + issue too. Keeping everything turned off until TR has connected to the ant+ pm in a work out and then turning other things on. I was trying to connect in devices unit with the head unit/ pc already on

Did anybody else lose their entire Plan from TR last night?

Haven’t seen anyone else mention it. Double check that you’re fully synced up and if you are, send in an email to support@trainerroad.com. They’ll get you sorted.

I’ve redone it now and didn’t want to mention it for fear of it being human error. Gutted though, I’d gone through and lined up a SS progression into my base. Oh well :man_shrugging:

Like I said. Email that support email. They may be able to recover what was lost.

I miss Chad. I the new app the size of the writing is smaller. I use a tablet and can’t read all the wise advice from β€œChad” and only barely see the numbers.

Anyone else lose all of their favorites under workouts? I know favorites are individual to what device you are using i.e. they are not universally synced. I lost all my favorites from the previous version app on the same Android phone.

Favorites didn’t sync with this update due to us changing app framework. We’ve always had a hard time syncing favorites between apps and we faced a similar situation syncing them with this update. We’re going to work on a better solution that encompasses all platforms for this and we’re sorry we didn’t make it happen for this update.

If you haven’t already, shuffle through some TrainNow workouts and see what you think. This uses the AT system to find the right workout for you based on your progression levels. Using the new workout filters are also super helpful if you have a favorite workout type (short, shorts, bursts, etc.) .We also have some stuff in the works that’ll launch with AT that should help provide an easier way to find alternates to specific workouts too.

I saw a few of the comments on the Facebook advertisement that said the users had issues with the app being slow to respond.

Just here to say that I’ve not had any of those issues and the app is very smooth to use and fast to respond to screen touches. Apps being used on a Samsung S20+.

Awesome job by the TR Team, thanks!!

I also think Chads text and all the numbers are unneccessarily small. I can barely read the text without glasses and I prefer to train without them. It looks sleek but it is less ergonomic than before.

@Hhansen @Erlix

We are working on adding a setting to adjust instructional workout text size right now.

I also noticed the interval recap data obstructs the workout text. So if you wanted to read what Chad is saying it covers in the beginning.
