Walmart releases its own high end bike brand (Viathon)

… or buy used, which the cheapskates like me prefer - and which requires even more knowledge of what’s what, including reading 10 different bike manufacturers’ frame sizing charts and making some sense out of it.

Yeah, I may go the used route too. I think someone here nailed it when they said something like, “I buy used because all the rich people ride 20 miles a week, never lube their chain, and then buy a new bike once they hear the first clicking in the drivetrain.”

My wife’s bike (which I bought used, of course) still had the molding line on the tires.

Isn’t that the truth! It’s insane how easy it is to get a used bike for 50% of MSRP that looks like it just left the showroom floor!
