What happened to Ivy/AFC NFC Championship Thread

I agree with others that it seems premature to speculate that she is gone. But I think TR would be well served to make some kind of statement any time one of their media personalities steps away (regardless of reason). They don’t owe us an explanation for why people leave, but it’s just good practice to acknowledge it rather than leaving people to speculate. Hopefully Ivy is just on break, time will tell.

Both Amber Pierce’s and Pete Morris’ forum accounts are still active, and neither are showing “suspended” like Ivy’s. It seems odd for her account to be suspended if this was an amicable departure like with Amber and Pete or if she’s on a break.

@Nate_Pearson and @Jonathan

Any chance we squash this before it turns into another 3000 post thread of toxic speculation?

This doesn’t seem to align with this….

We don’t know what happened and a lot of baseless speculation is happening on this thread, just as it did with Chad.

It certainly does, you’re just misreading my comment.

I’m not suggesting there is anything overtly nefarious going on. Only that the ‘trend’ is that TR seems to be operating as your normal, everyday for profit US company with a lot of turnover, rather than some bicycling utopia of a company that can do no wrong, and nobody would dream of leaving.

It’s easy to be annoyed by the speculation. I get that. However, it’s somewhat a failure of the company’s leadership when they don’t realize that quietly suspending the account of a person who was seemingly hired to make content consumed by users, provide brand ambassadorship, and had a continual outward presence as a rep of the company… well, that’s going to lead to speculation and questions.

It does seem weird honestly. If someone who works a desk job at ESPN goes elsewhere, there’s no need to make an announcement or anything. But if one of the Sportscenter anchors goes elsewhere, then it is necessary because that is part of what the public is tethered to and part of why people are coming to listen to the podcast or watch YouTube videos.

It’s like what @Abe_Froman said. If part of your value prop is that your platform is a centralized place for cycling training content and as a stand in or supplement cycling coaching… the unintended consequences of that is the people form bonds, or at the very least connections with the content providers and personalities. It’s a little gaslightly to have that be part of your business model and then be shocked or feel like no explanation is required when people are curious and inquisitive about sudden departures of the content creators. My 2 cents.

For once in my life, I don’t care about “The Why.” If Ivy has moved on, the circumstances don’t matter to me, the outcome does: she’s gone and I’m sad. Really, really sad.

Life goes on, so do podcasts.

Dark of the night? Give me a break. If you look on her Instagram, she is training out in Arizona. Anyone could DM her if they were interested or wanted to wish her the best.

TR’s business model is training software, not explaining every single staff change to the public. Frankly, they shot themselves in the foot over Chad. They should of just said he was moving on or retiring, end of story.

Ah yes. Blowing up her DMs is a better approaching than thinking the company should say something before quietly suspending her account. :person_facepalming:

This thread is starting to go over the top. I would hope people would check themselves a bit before becoming publicly dramatic with speculation concerning specific individuals.

Nobody said to blow up her account. How about you post a nice comment on one of posts then and tell her that you miss her on TR. I imagine she would appreciate it more than this speculation.

Soooo….how ‘bout those Baltimore Ravens, eh? What’s happening to THEM?

The look like POOP

Would have loved to see Lamar and crew pull this one out.

Lamar should have 3 picks

I suspect the reason we’re being subjected to an obnoxious number of freaking Mahomes and Kelce ads is because the NFL has, of course, already selectee the Super Bowl teams. But Ravens are indeed playing like POOP. Except for the part where Lamar Jackson caught his own pass….

It’s pretty amusing to see the NFL conspiracy theories in the TR conspiracy theory thread.
