To me the thing felt like a rocket ship. But I couldn’t test cornering, so I was wondering about hoe it handles …
Oh, yeah, way more grip with these wheels/tires. Like I said, can’t be for sure how much it’s the wheel/tire set up or the whole bike or just in my mind, but, it will be difficult to ride anything else. It’s pretty compact - for example, I have a little toe overlap.
Did you get your wheels?
Not yet. I’m not expecting them to ship until end of June.
I opted to save a hundred bucks for a later delivery.
Are they? 32mm external (or 32.5 for november) surpasses the 105% rule by a bit. I’d get some of these if I thought they’d mate well to a set of gp5000 tubeless 28mm but they seem just a little too big no?
28mm on the label is the rated width on a narrower rim. With these wider rims, expect the measured tire sized to be closer to 31mm. My 28mms have measured 30.5mm (specialized turbo pro) and about 31.5 (gp4000s II, they run wide) @ 50PSI on a 21mm internal rim width rim Roval C38.
The Hunt 48 Limitless is now available and the page has been updated with more useful info:

I find the shape super interesting…
Shown is a 3D render of the final rim shape. The areas formed from carbon fibre are in grey, while the low density expanded polymer (foam) is shown in black.

I ended up doing the gigantic 50mm All Road wheels. It’s ridiculous:
I run a 30mm Gravel King smoothie and they measure 35.5mm after a couple months. Fills out bigger than my CX tubulars:
I won’t ever go back after using 28s. Just as fast and you can rail the hell out of corners, especially if the pavement isn’t perfect. And I’m using old timey reynolds dv66 from years ago. It isn’t by the book a great combo but it is good to me.
Ooooh nice! When I brought my All road 50s into the shop, the mechanics were like why are those mountain bike rims so deep? Lol
The ride is so smoooooooth. I love mine
Sorry, little off topic, but I dont see how to send private messages on this form and I noticed somewhere that you picked up a scalpel to replace your top fuel? I actually currently considering a 2016+ top fuel or a 2017+ scalpel, both carbon. Would you mind sharing what the differences are between them? Which is the faster climber? Which do you like better for descending?
