2019 Spring Classics

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for watching these races(day of). I’ve been able to get results or really short video clips from You Tube, but I was hoping for a little bit more. I looked at a Euro sport subscription, but it seems they can not broadcast in the United States?.

Try these guys: http://www.steephill.tv

Not always guaranteed and sometimes you gotta work for it but when it does work it’s pretty good. I always try for the Sporza feeds first — love those commentators!

I subscribe to NBC Sports Gold cycling pass. In addition to the GT’s, track and cyclocross they will cover the following this spring:

Volta a Catalunya 7 March 2019
Paris-Roubaix April 7, 2019
La Fleche Wallonne April 17, 2019
Liège-Bastogne-Liège April 21, 2019
Amgen Tour of California 7 May 12 - 18, 2019
Critérium du Dauphiné 8 June 2 - 9, 2019

If you can master the annoying pop ups, use HolaVPN, and or deal with Flemish you are made

I subscribe to both the NBC Sports Gold Cycling Package (it looks like this is discounted at the moment to $39.99 for the year) and the Flobikes yearly pass. Between the two, all of the big races are shown, and you can replay the entire race on-demand - perfect for entertainment during TrainerRoad workouts.

The best way I’ve found is Eurosport combined with a VPN. Eurosport can take PayPal for subscription which makes that part easy. To get around geographic restrictions I used unlocator.com which is actually not a VPN, just uses DNS trickery to fool the servers about your geographic location, but a good VPN is hardly more complicated and about the same price.

+1. Check out Flo Sports as well to complement NBC Sports Gold (they carry the Giro and Strade Bianche).

Ive used NBC Sports Gold since it was released, and while they do provide coverage in English, and with names we know (Phil, Bob, Matt, and RIP Paul) the app and service itself has been UBER flaky for me. Sometimes I can’t login (numerous password failures, same password works a few minutes later…) sometimes it just drops out right in the middle of key events, etc.

I still pay for it, but I have FuboTV with the cycling plan, and I use steep hill.tv to fill in the gaps. With all of these, I can usually get coverage of at least the bigger stuff.

Your best options:

Eurosport with a VPN
Paid live. Maybe replays? I’m. Not sure. I don’t use it

Free live and full replays later in the day

Torrent downloads. Usually two or three hours after. Invite only. I just checked and I don’t have any invites to give away unfortunately.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I’ll give the NBC thing a try and hope they fixed the Password thing.
