My 2026 Goals include 3 gravels and 1 70.3! Any advice on training with different sports and events?
Iâd say make sure you choose your A B and C priorities carefully & space them as best you can.
For me it would depend on what result youâre after. Doing all of them is possible but might differ if youâre trying to win all of them.
I have a similar calendar for 2025 though a few runs will be in there as well. All the advice and suggests for 70.3 suggest how you want to feel at the end. A lot of people can finish and be fine, though if you want to feel good about your race, the run is where youâll either feel proud or fall apart. That said - if you arent a runner, now might be a good time to start building weekly mileage, its much harder on the body (impact) and you cant fast forward running volume unless you have a sport background. When are the events and which 70.3?
3 stage races (B, B, A) and a handful of crits. Maybe something gravel or MTB for fun if it works out, but either would definitely be a D- âraceâ for me.

Weâd echo what @OwenL suggested. Doing all of those events is certainly possible, but how you perform at each of them depends on how you prioritize each race.
If one is more important than the others, then pick that as your A event and focus most of your training on it. That said, with a 70.3 in the mix, youâll have to include some swimming and running leading into that race just to prepare your body for the demands of three different sports.
