Never done a 40k TT before (I hate time trials, but it’s the only safe racing during Covid) so I don’t really know what to do as an opener workout… if anything. My thought is go out and hit each of the numbers I’ll be hitting on my splits, but only hold each for maybe… 2 minutes? 6 minutes total hard work. Just to get a feel for it
I use Silverthorne the day before as an opener for all TT’s up to 100 miles.
Works well for me & I got a course PB on Thursday at our club event.
I use British Cycling warm up before the race start.

I use Truuli - it seems to work - ok there is no VO2 max in a TT but it wakes you up!
