Doug Moore raised his FTP by 41 watts with TrainerRoad while training for a multi-day 415 mile ride across the state of Utah, all while being a busy father of 5 with a demanding career and a farm to take care of. Doug’s ability to balance all of these things and how he and made low volume training work for ultra endurance is super insightful and inspiring.

This podcast couldn’t have come at a better time. I subscribed to TR last week to get back to previous fitness levels, if not fitter.
I have no plans to race, but my goals in cycling for 2021 and beyond is to get back into road cycling (after a few years out) with a number of long endurance ride events I want to tick off the bucket list.
I wasn’t sure TR was the program to suit my goals, but I took the plunge and happy to hear Doug’s story to realise I haven’t made a wrong choice subbing to TR!
Man, this podcast came at the perfect time for me. I can relate so well to this. The guilt of missing a workout, the sour mood, the late night workouts, juggling family and work. All of it. I feel seen. Lol.
Great podcast and story. You have a lot of stuff going on, Doug! Definitely demonstrates that we can all carve out time and still improve using low volume plans!
