Lets take it on a lighter note and be frank: showering hot or cold?
I will play the hero up front: usually after a workout I first take a hot shower, then after some minutes I turn it to hero-mode and to absolute cold… huuuaaa! Makes the spirits wake up.
What does help?
First of all, being a man: so naturally by genetics we are ought to be heroes, right!
Second: wow, does it feel good to recover after a nice workout, and a super cold shower… with a cup of tea… on the sofa… going nerdingly through my stats and being fond of how much of a hero I am!
Third, and most importantly: John Rambo! Yes, who does not remember the hmmmhhhhggg face Sylvester Stallone should have earned an Oscar with being cold showered by nasty Policemen in First Blood… so when John Rambo makes it through that… why shouldnt I?
So now admit it: warm or cold? Cozy or Rambo?

Hot shower most days. More comfortable for one, but also helps with the hot shower and quick cooling after getting out, to help me fall asleep since I shower right before crawling into bed (for weekday workouts at least).
Cold shower only on the hottest of hot days after outside rides for me.

Always hot showers. Even during the summer I usually cool off enough before I get into the shower so that a warm shower still feels better. It might start cooler but quickly gets turned up.

Hot days/ hot garage workout I’ll take a cold shower but mostly hot showers.
I do like switching hot to cold 10 secs on/off, feels good and wakes me up. Hot shower before bed helps me.

I would call it a “hot” shower. My wife says that’s not a hot shower, while she apparently showers in lava.

I always take a hot shower. During the summer months i will finish with a few moments of cold water.

I’m going to spoil myself all day! Hot to the point my skin is red when I’m stepping out.

Definitely hot. Instead of a cold blast at the end, I recommend a cold beer in for central cooling. YMMV.

GTFO with this cold shower nonsense…I have zero desire to self-inflict torture on myself. That is why God created pools.

Winter = hot shower. All the way. Especially after a run, usually i walk for a minute or 2 and i get pretty cold pretty fast. So to warm myself up, and get my skin back to temp, hot shower it is. Get gradually hotter too on the colder days. It’s also the only time that i’ll be able to do a lava bath (like mentioned above that their wife showers in lava)
During summer, if i only take a hot shower and it’s warm out… (above 25 C) i’ll keep sweating for 45 minute post workout, so i start warm and finish cold. So weird thing, at my workplace (where i used to commute to pre pandemic) we had awesome facilities for changing and showering. Except, one big weird thing…you could control the shower temp. There was only a warm/hot temp available. So you could often see me still wiping off sweat after my shower and as i was getting to my desk as my body was trying to cool off

Wash warm, rinse cold. Colder the better. Love those endorphins.

Always hot/warm shower. When it’s hot out I’ll finish with a cold rinse.

Lava
Unless it’s a 100F+ day and I’m almost heat stroked, then I’ll do cold.

Wow… so I am the last John Rambo then… wow… who would have thought!
I would suggest that the colder our showers, the higher our FTP by minimum factor 0,80!
So average shower temperature around here seems to be Lava. I am more of the “lets swim around the Titanic”- kind of showerer… so the difference in temperature multiplied by 0.8… hmmm … you will be jealous of my FTP!
I prefer no shower over a cold shower. I will go weeks without showering if I don’t have access to comfortable water.

That would earn you some kind of John-Rambo-Status, too. Ok!

haha. I am usually cold all the time. Bought the house we are in, only slightly exaggerating, because it had a steam shower. I can’t get in without it on.
The only exception is June-August - where I will get home from a humid gross ride and need a cold one.
