in my order deatails, it now has a line that says “whoop 4.0 upgrade EXTENSION” . That wasnt on the original order, I wonder if they are extending my subscription since its coming a few months late? doubful, but would be nice
I’ve just canceled my 4.0 order. I’m patient enough to wait out the shipping delays but not a fan of how Whoop has handled the whole thing. My experience with the 3.0 has been ok, probably not worth the subscription. And honestly I can get all of the same data on my Garmin 945 which I have for recording non-cycling activities anyways, so it became a bit redundant.
FYI for those in the market for something like Whoop, it’s anticipated that Oura will be announcing the Oura Ring 3 tomorrow. Will be interesting to see what new features they bring.
My whoop 4.0 order went from 5-6 weeks to 6-8 weeks to showing up at my door yesterday. I’m a new user, so I’m looking forward to developing some new productive habits.
Mine is delayed by another 4 weeks. 10-12 now according to the website
I ordered just as the 4.0 presentation was starting, maybe even slightly before… refreshed the website at the right time and found the link before getting the email about updating. Just a normal user, ~2 year membership history w/ a year paid ahead. I think they are doing first-in-first-out based on order time & date with a few VIP exceptions (board members, investors). Doesn’t seem like their army of influencers were prioritized. Feels like this was the fairest approach they could have taken for distribution.
I think they just don’t have the production volume to meet the order quantity… they definitely should have tempered expectations during the announcement. They know how many 3.0 members they have and could have projected new sign ups. If they knew back then that they wouldn’t be able to make enough to deliver in a reasonable time… its a huge communication failure.
Same, says ships in 10-12 weeks. That damn well better be from the original date I ordered it and not 10-12 weeks from today!

To the users who got theirs - did you actually get tracking info and an email or did it just show up?

Received mine yesterday, ordered during the presentation back in September. Pairing process and battery seem to be fine but my sleep didn’t track last night; There is a huge gap in data from 730P last night until I woke up this morning, not sure what happened there but hope this is not some kind of recurring issue.
The hardware is definitely an upgrade in terms of build quality, much smaller devices, nicer band and clasp. Too early to comment on overall data integrity and collection.
Got mine over a week ago. All good except the battery life seems to be shorter. I’ll need to track it and see.
Do you manually start your sleep or let it auto detect? Hopefully last night was some weird glitch but hasn’t happened before in six months of daily use with 3.0.
did you try to add it as a manual activity? id do that retro just to get the sleep hours.

Yeah I added manually but there is no data at all from the 730P - 450A period, don’t know what happened there. Like the device wasn’t recording any HR for that period.
Even when I turn the phone sideways in the app or look on the website, no data, like I wasn’t wearing it.
I’m on the cusp of cancelling, as a new user the original delivery was end of October to 2nd week of November.
The current time line is now 8-10weeks which is down from last week 8-11.
I think I’ll revisit Whoop’s competitors.

This is why I put mine in the garbage. When data just disappears like this, it throws all the metrics out of whack for days, which defeats the whole purpose of wearing the thing, and customer service is zero help. As a result of missing data, it will tell you you’re fresh when you’re not or that your exhausted when you’re not. Why wear it then? My Fenix might not be perfect, but it NEVER tells me I just didn’t sleep for a day.
To be clear, never, ever had this issue with my 3.0, only after paring the 4.0.
Really sucks but I’m now back to wearing the 3.0 while waiting to hear from support.
I’ll wear the 4.0 until it’s closer to renewal time. If the Garmin Fenix 7 comes out before then, AND has compelling features beyond the current iteration, I might have a tough choice to make.
It’s all academic at this point since I have no 4.0 and the Fenix 7 is just a rumor at this time.
