I finally got my SRAM ASX group installed, when I press the button on the derailleur it shifts but when I try the left+right paddle combo nothing happens. I see the paddles and both derailleurs in the app
Need to pair it. Hold down AXS button till it flashes then pres the AXS buttons on the shifters.
I thought I just needed to pair everything with the rear derailleur
If not forget it in the app and re-add and pair all of them. Usually works.

that took quite a few tries but eventually that did do the trick
My FD went dead but appeared on the AXS app (and showed that the battery was good!), but no lights flashed and no shifting happened. Tried swapping batteries (with the one on the RD which was working fine), tried removing battery, pressing button, inserting battery and releasing button and nothing happened. Then tried cleaning with more pressure/effort the battery contacts on the rear derailleur, connected battery and suddenly it resumed working. 
Mine has been inconsistent and failed recently. The contacts for the batteries are spring loaded, and if that spring is broken or doesn’t engage, it will only get power intermittently. The shop is working on a warranty for mine as it’s doing that at only a few months old. If you continue to have problems that’s worth checking
