Best places to sell bike parts in the US?

After years of upgrading I have accumulated a stock of various bike parts I would like to sell. Wondering if you guys can share some websites and/or experiences during a process of this type.

So far I have:

  • EBay
  • Craigslist
  • Pinkbike
  • Facebook Market place.

I’ve had great luck with PinkBike! Sold a bunch of stuff including full bikes down to cassettes.

I sold big things on craigslist: wheels, frames. Small stuff, I sold on ebay. Meeting and waiting around on craigslist flakes is time consuming. Tossing a small part in a box is easy. Ebay takes around 13% but I think you usually make that up in higher prices compared to craigslist.

FB Marketplace seems to be filled with nightmares and con artists. I’d be hesitant.

Also, if you sell more than $600 online you’ll get a 1099 at the end of the year. Plan for the accounting.
