Made a video about washing/maintaining bikes if you live in an apartment or with limited space. Particularly of interest to this forum may be some of the tips regarding cleaning indoor training bikes.

I use baby wipes. After wiping down the frame or wheels hold one round the chain and back pedal. If you have left it a while you may need to thread the wipe through chain links to give it a deeper clean. Not much faff 
This is essentially what I do in my apartment, although I set up in a spot in the parking lot near a storm drain (I’d try to use an alley in the city). If I were to wash the bike on my balcony, all the water would drip through onto my neighbor below me due to the slats of wood being kinda far apart.
