Not sure if this is a dumb question or not. I have assiomas on my road bike, my wife has 4iii on hers, she does not have power on her track bike, nor are the cranks compatible on her road and track bike.
The velodrome in Milton, Ontario is open again and she has resumed training and wants power numbers for her workouts but we really don’t want to invest in another PM so I thought she could use my assiomas. Her cranks are 165mm, mine are 172.5mm so I know I need to change those settings. I normally use my bolt, she would be using her element.
Is this possible? Are there any tricks or is it straight forward?
TIA
Yup, this is easy. The crank length is configured in the head unit, so this will be set by whichever head unit it is paired with. The crank length set by the app is only for cases where the crank length can’t be set in the head unit, which I think is only the case for really old ones (like maybe edge 500).
This should ‘just work’.
Just make sure to not have both your Wahoos turned on at the same time and you will be fine. Otherwise they will both be trying to pickup the pedals power reading. If you do want to ride together, then either you will have one of you recording data from the other rider or you would have to delete (unpair) the pedals the computer that you don’t want reading the data.
As the other reply said, crank length is set in the computer, so no issue there.
