Hello, I am in between sizes (54 / 56) on Cervelo’s sizing guide for the R5. I am 176.5cm with an inseam of 78cm.
What would you recommend, as unfortunately I can only order the bike, there are non to try out.
Thank you very much in advance
p.s. I am currently on a size 54 aspero, the 56 was too big for me
Depends what you want fit wise on your R5
per bike insights
54 Aspero has 388 reach and 555 stack
54 R5 has 380 reach and 548 stack
56 R5 has 389 reach and 572 stack
A 56 R5 has almost the exact same reach as the 54 Aspero, but is a bit taller. If you run your Aspero with some spacers you can run the 56 R5 without.
you would need to lets us know where was the 56 Aspero was too big, reach or in the stack?

also … what type of rides do you intend to do?
the R5 has shorter wheelbase and a lower BB height.
I’ve got a 51-size R5.
169cm in height. 76cm inseam.
It’s my first 51 bike and took me a while to find a used frame that size. All my other non-Cervelo bikes are either 53 or 54.
The R5 is my climbing bike. I have also used it for all-day 200km+ audax events.
I don’t have any R5 but for reference I have an old SLC-SL and a 2023 S5, both 54. I’m 177cm tall. I don’t remember my inseam but the saddle sit at 73 cm from center BB on both. For me a 56 would probably have reach that is just too far. Current stem lengths is 110cm on both bikes.
