I’m running TR on a Samsung phone, been faultless for two years, this week it’s developed a glitch where the app crashes and quits to the phone Home Screen when you tap the workout to load it.
Uninstalling and reinstalling TR made no difference, anyone else have similar issues or do I have a busted phone? (Works fine on an IPhone 15 pro max)
Had a possibly similar issue yesterday, also on Android:
When loading the workout everything was still fine. But as soon as I started pedaling, the app crashed and I was back at the home screen. Eventually gave up and switched to TR running on a different device (MacOS). I figured it just was some issue with my setup, like I accidentally started the Mac TR first before reconsidering, Zwift was also running and potentially fighting over who gets the trainer, etc.
Tried it again today (admittedly with an unrelated device restart in-between) and everything worked like it used to, so didn’t see a reason to file a bug report.
Sorry to hear about the trouble – has this happened again since you first experienced the issue?
It could be worth making sure you’re on the latest version of TR (you should be if you just uninstalled/reinstalled the app) and on the latest version of your Android OS. You can find instructions on how to check/update your Android OS here if needed.
In any case, I’ll report this incident to the rest of the team so we can check out what might be going on.
I am having a similar issue with my Galaxy S10. The app loads fine but when I click "Load Workout " the app crashes. I tried clearing the cache and all saved data for the app, then deleting the app and reloading it and still same issues. Was planning on emailing support on this, just havnt gotten around to it as I can use my newer phone, i just liked using the S10 as it has ANT+ which seems to work better on my house then Bluetooth.
