How’s your training going?. What’s your CTL now and how far are you from A event? How high can you get it before your Race?
I start:
CTL 66
3 months away from A Race
I think I get it up to 100. Still training indoors
Cheers!. Old

79 CTL, 21 weeks out
81 and on the rise. First real crits of the season tomorrow. A race not until April.
67 … still in the sweetspot between my age and my IQ - hopefully.
87 after today’s ride……+18 vs one year ago, +5 over the last 28 days and +3 for this week, so starting to plateau a bit. Will finish the week at 88 tomorrow.
Unbound is the big one for me.
108, back to back 70.3s 5/4 and 5/11 - hopefully 140 a few weeks out
69 after todays ride, ramping up nicely after riding very little between Sept and starting training close to end of Nov. First race is in 3 months, so a while yet. I’ve focused this year more than in the past so hoping to ramp up my training a bit still.
Last year I was around 55 at this time and topped out around 60 in Feb before the inevitable plateau and slide. I wasn’t following any plan though, just riding semi consistently.
ETA: rest week is next, well deserved! Definitely feeling the fatigue.
50 and I’m 127 days out
I have not ridden outside more then 1 time per month past 3 months.
Sitting at 88. 9 weeks until my A event. probably get up to around 105ish
lol, 135 is plenty
Very impressive. Where is that chart coming from? I see people posting it and I’m it looks pretty helpful. Or at least something additional to pat myself on the back with when I’m sticking to the plan.
Intervals.icu
Intervals.icu =65ctl
TP=70
Ftp the same in both, not sure why their different
Either way, covid put me behind for my event 12 weeks out. Hopefully should be up in mid 90s or so by then
Intervals.icu may use just avg 42 days TSS while TP somehow weighs it slightly differently, not just plain avg.
Super mega impressive 50 CTL yesterday. However I’ve been doing a lot of neuromuscular work and feeling a lot stronger than I normally do around this chronic training load.
I’m curious how you combine a TR plan (my assumption) and additional training to get much a high load? Afaik the HV plans cannot reach a CTL of 100.
Do you just add z2 to a plan, or how do you go about it?
No idea how you all manage 100+ tss. Jelly
