I’ve been avoiding it but now it seems that I’m about to go in for surgery on my bunions - one on each foot. I’ve got an appointment to see the consultant this Thursday. Searching the WWW is not proving to be very helpful in terms of recovery period before I can pick up my cycling training again. I’m dreading the recovery as I’m reading it could be up to six months before returning to sport!!! OMG! I’m wondering if anyone on here has had bunion surgery and could share their experience or advise, support or questions to ask the consultant etc. Thanks, Karen
My training partner just had this done on one foot. Three months off the road bike, with an additional month off of mountain bikes.
