When did @Nate_Pearson turn pro? (One for the long time listeners)
That’s about right
That was me on Saturday, I hit the breaks too hard with disc breaks & a new TT position. It resulted in a perfectly executed summersalt at a set of traffic lights. Never bounced back up so quickly in my life, so embarrassing.
That looks more like “why children need adult supervision”. Where’s the bike?
Are men not children? Especially those that still ride toys for fun. Oh, and that for sure is a bike worthy jump line…
Got out on the road yesterday for the first time since October. Looked at my numbers when I got home and realized this is me.
This stereotype, that men need a woman to be the adult, reminds me of 90’s American sitcoms. Men will just eat themselves sick, drink beer all day, do crazy stupid things, whatever - thank god for the nagging wife making them do the serious thing
I know this is the jokes and memes thread, but its sexist and demeaning to everyone
No they are not.
Yesterday, my wife had to run to the store to get some stuff for Easter. I didn’t know what to do so i ate the goldfish.
Please do not sterilize the jokes thread. This is my favorite thread on this forum. Comedy involves being able to laugh at yourself and the things around you. If I start saying “don’t make fun of cross country mountain bikers, it’s not funny”, things will go downhill quickly.
(See what I did there? It is the jokes thread after all )
I object. I think things will escalate if you start defending XC MTB. We are afraid to go downhill.
Reverse shuttle anyone
Downhill on an XC bike is fun. Lizard brain is saying: “yeee haw”!!! but the monkey brain is thinking: “We shouldn’t be doing this dumb a$$ downhill trail on XC bikes. This bike is going to explode on one of these jumps and we’re gonna die”.
Am off to make Lizard Brain vs Monkey Brain Memes now. Carry on.
If only the bike shops could get stock. I was talking to my local bike shop, they order 40 from Specialised and they got 6. That is supply for the year. On the plus side they did say Specialised were not giving bikes to larger retailers and treating the smaller bike shops fairly
There are massive supply issues everywhere. A buddy of mine manages the local TREK warehouse for the entire tri-state area and says the shelves are practically empty, once something comes in it almost immediately goes to a shop. It’s so bad he can’t even get Shimano parts for himself through work and had to order a chain and cassette through the internet.
